We are looking for a talented Operations Manager to join our team based in Bunbury. The role provides a great opportunity to continue to grow the business and lead the service and parts teams. This is a hands-on management role and will require you to step in to assist with opening and closing jobs, invoicing, checking parts availability and assisting with customer enquiries when necessary. This key appointment will work as part of the leadership team and be accountable for achieving business objectives within the southwest of WA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Develops an understanding of Cummins’ business in the region, globally, and across all business units. Promotes a culture of customer service in the branch; recruits, develops, motivates, and retains high quality customer service employees.

  • Manages customer satisfaction for the Branch. Ensures service improvements; monitors Repair Event Cycle Time and manages process improvements within the branch.

  • Manages the branch to the Annual Operating Plan; monitors all appropriate business metrics including Branch balanced scorecard, profit and loss metrics, and asset metrics, and is responsible for all functions and financial metrics for the branch.

  • Develops and maintains business relationships with customers and develops new business partners and alliances for the branch.

  • Manages compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and compliance.

  • Deal with service and parts enquiries from customers and develop positive, long term relationships

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Previous leadership experience, with a strong focus on HSE, service delivery, developing strategic solutions and talent management. Highly developed communication and influencing skills – ideally from transport, mining, forestry or automotive industries

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and to develop partnerships with customers which create value

  • Demonstrated ability to balance the needs of the employees, customers, shareholders and communities

  • Strong commercial acumen, effectively balancing short- and long-term priorities, whilst managing the needs of employees, customers and stakeholders
