About the role
Located in our Carole Park office is a rare 13-month Project Management Internship opportunity which commences 31st January 2022. This role would suit an undergraduate student current studying a Business or Information Technology degree who is interested specifically in Project Management, Operational Excellence and / or User Experience and is keen to utilise theoretical skills learnt in their degree and develop practical skills in the workforce. This is a unique opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while you are working.
“What Will You Do”
Provide support to the Operations Excellence team in the development of project plans and timelines
Supporting members of the Operations Excellence team to achieve project timelines and deliverables including tracking and following up workplans, monitoring and reporting on Service Performance and development of monthly and quarterly reports
Support business requests for information on operational efficiency in a timely manner
Assist and advise in the timing, sequencing, and management of projects that are likely to bring about improved efficiency and functionality of business processes
Assist in the development and drafting of training material to support operation initiatives
Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders
Participate in community involvement activities
To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:
Are currently studying an undergraduate Degree in Information Systems or Business with an interest in Project Management or Operational Excellence (Note: This role will not include any IT specific tasks, but would suit the skills of an IT student).
Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of February 2022
Ideally this is a 13-month, full time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program, however student who wish to continue to study on a part time basis while completing the internship will be considered.
Possess Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Note: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A keen interest in projects or operational excellence
Can demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, a team work ethic and the ability to think and operate autonomously and independently when required
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Be proactive in engaging stakeholders and suppliers to seek out necessary information to achieve set outcomes
Time management skills and ability to multi-task
An interest and willingness to learn and develop new skills in a diverse organisation
Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality
Strong computer literacy and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Valid car driving license highly preferred
