About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists in our Carole Park branch for a hybrid role of Executive Sales and Account Management. No two days are the same in this role as you work autonomously to prepare and execute you weekly plan, spending approx. 70% of your time on the road (predominately local to Brisbane) visiting long term existing Cummins customers as well as developing new business.
With a mechanical background and strong knowledge of engines, your sales approach is collaborative, with a focus on building customer relationships and adding value with your automotive knowledge. Prior to moving into sales, you may have previous worked as a Service Advisor or Parts Advisor in the automotive industry or have moved straight from ta trades role to sales. Your mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of engines will help you gain instant credibility with our customers and help you build rapport with new clients by assisting them with Cummins general advice and knowledge of their products.
Develop, manage and solidify customer relationships to achieve sales goals within an assigned sales territory in a business to business environment.
Manage your CRM to ensure regular contact with existing, new and old customers, building on established relationships with frequent customers and re-establishing contact and rapport with lapsed customers or new contacts
Actively grow existing accounts and develop new customers
Identify and execute opportunities to cross sell, upsell and find new opportunities with current customers
Have a solutions-driven approach integrated with a strong “customer first” focus
Provide strong technical advice, establishing yourself as the “go to” aftermarket person in our industry in the SE Qld region
Undertake 70% of your time on the road in the Brisbane region, with overnight regional travel to the Toowoomba region 3 to 4 times a year
Your first-class customer service and drive for success, combined with your diesel engine knowledge will make you an ideal applicant for this role.
You will also possess:
Strong mechanical background and knowledge of diesel engines
Ideally hold a Cert III heavy automotive (but not essential)
Have solid experience working with diesel engines 6.7L and above,
Demonstrated sales executive background, being responsible for growing incremental sales year on year
Have a track record in the automotive industry managing customer issues and solving technical problems
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong account management and negotiation skills, able to build sales plans and manage your CRM
Knowledge on Cummins engines is advantageous although not essential
Be highly motivated and able to work autonomously
