About the role:
Reporting to the South Pac HR Leader, we have the rare opportunity to join our HR team as the Northern region HR Manager. This varied role will give you the opportunity to partner with our 10 branches cross our Northern region spanning Qld, PNG and Papua Indonesia. Partnering with our business leaders and supporting our branch staff you will lead a broad range of HR processes and work with the wider HR team to plan and implement global and local HR initiatives and policies.
Your role will also include:
Lead, coach, mentor and support our Northern region HR Advisor
Be responsible for overall operational effectiveness and compliance
Support managers and employees to resolve issues and concerns
Establish strategies select and retain diverse talent
Collaborate with business leaders on business goals and develop initiatives and tactics
Coach and counsel on human resources matters
Communicate and consult on all areas of human resources
Relevant HR qualifications backed by demonstrated experience in a regional, HR business partnering capacity
Strong experience supporting manufacturing / blue collar leaders and industrial branch / site staff with exposure to the Australian modern manufacturing award or an appreciation of blue collar awards in general
Ability to engage a geographically varied regional leadership team and senior branch stakeholders, forging strong relationships through transparent communication, delivery of results and respect
Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity, with a focus on mentoring and development
Experience working within a large, global organisation is essential, with the ability to work within global frameworks and implement regional policies on a local scale
A collaborative work approach; able to engage your wider, national HR team and support each other for the cohesive delivery of consistent HR services across SouthPAC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to tailor your communication style to a wide audience
Flexibility for some short-term, mostly regional Qld travel (overseas travel is not anticipated)
