Field Service Diesel Mechanic - $5000 sign on bonus
We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Mechanic to join our team specialising in heavy diesel engine repairs and maintenance across all of our Cummins product areas heavy on-highway, off-highway (forestry), HHP (mining), marine, power generation and agricultural. You will provide a breakdown and maintenance service to our clients across Tasmania with no two days the same. The successful applicant will be part of the on-call roster once every 4 weeks, with weekend work very infrequent.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Deliver a first-class service to our customers across, heavy on-highway, off-highway (forestry), HHP (mining), marine, power generation and agricultural
Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products on breakdowns and mine sites
Diagnose and repair various engines
Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Field Service Supervisor
Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Relevant mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards).
HR truck and forklift license would be advantageous.
Be highly autonomous and be able to work well in a team environment or solo in the field
Ideally have experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of HHP heavy diesel products
If coming from a light vehicle background, possess high level diagnostics skills
Experience with Cummins engines is highly preferred but not essential
Solid diagnostic and IT capabilities.
Strong computer skills are highly desirable.
