Service Advisor - Emerald Workshop

About the role

Reporting directly to the Emerald Service Manager this role will see you act as the conduit for communication between the Emerald Branch and our automotive segment customers, ensuring our customers’ needs are met in a professional and efficient manner. With an emphasis on managing technicians and the workflow process, this key position will work to continuously seek out opportunities needed to improve and grow the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Professionally and efficiently coordinate customer service and labour requirements

  • Allocate bookings to the technical team and manage technicians labour until job close out

  • Managing repairs from opening through to closing work orders

  • Managing work flow paperwork through to invoicing stage

  • Driving service and quality repairs

  • Providing customer support and some technical advice to customers, allocating and escalating queries to the correct teams as appropriate

  • Develop your Cummins product skills, allowing you to promote Cummins products, brand and services

About you

  • Previous experience as a technician, TA or other role demonstrating your mechanical aptitude an advantage.

  • Some experience leading or supervising teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A high level of computer ability, specifically with MS Word and Excel

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Have a strong focus on customer service with an approachable and professional phone manner

  • Ability to work well within a team. Your experience in dealing with a customer base within the mining sector within a similar role would be a direct advantage.

  • This position would suit if you are looking to hone your skills to progress to a management position in the future.
