We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Workshop Supervisor to join our Automotive On-Highway team in the Mackay Workshop. The successful Supervisor will be looking after our Local and Fleet customers who predominately operate Kenworth, Western Star and International Acco heavy vehicles fitted with our 15 and 9 litre engines respectively. Your day-to-day work will involve job allocation, review repair plans, supervising and mentoring our technicians and apprentices whilst following our OEM guidelines and business specific procedures.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

-Delivering first-class service to our customers

-Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of technicians and apprentices

-Ensuring your team achieves its KPI’s to deliver results

-Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth process from beginning to end

  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Branch Leadership

-Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens

-Being a hands-on tools Supervisor from time to time

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

-Qualified Heavy Diesel Automotive Mechanic is preferred but will also consider a Light Vehicle background

-Experience working on engine products and Heavy On-Highway Vehicles eg Kenworth, Western Star

-Experience in using electronic troubleshooting systems and following defined OEM procedures

-Previous or demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring in a workshop environment

-Strong communication and organization skills

-Previous experience in a customer facing role

-Organisational skills and be able to multi-task in a high-pressure environment

-A strong commitment to workplace safety, the use of PPE and workplace cleanliness
