We are seeking an energetic and innovative Apprentice Program Manager to work with our collaborative Apprentice Program Management Team delivering our market leading apprentice program across Australia, NZ and Papua New Guinea. Taking responsibility for our central region, you will support the recruitment, training, development and management of our apprentices across VIC, TAS and NZ. You will work in a collaborate team of 2 other regional APM’s supported by a full time APM HR Intern.
Key responsibilities include
As a subject matter expert; understand, adhere to and coach others in relation to TAFE requirements, Apprenticeship Board and other legislative requirements relating to Apprentices
Develop and project manage key initiatives to support the attraction, retention and development of Apprentices including; recruitment, onboarding, progression and performance
Develop and implement projects to increase awareness, interest and diversification of the program to meet the changing needs of our business
Partner closely with the Regional Area Director, Regional Leadership Team, Line HR and other business areas to ensure the success of the program
Build strong customer relationships both internally and externally to promote and uphold the quality and delivery of the Apprenticeship Program (TEC program, TAFE’s, feeder schools and colleges, industry associations)
Ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation are followed
Champion Cummins leadership behaviours, mission, vision and values
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Depth of knowledge around the vocational sector and apprenticeship model
Strong networking and business relationship development skills
A background in leadership and mentoring in an L&D or vocational group training /educational environment (Automotive OEM, Group Training, RTO etc)
A track record in mentoring, conflict resolution and performance management
Have a keen interest in innovation and process improvement, driving change and maturation of our established apprenticeship program
Having completed a qualification in a vocational area would be highly regarded but not essential
Compensation and Benefits
This role is offering an attractive salary and participation in an annual variable compensation (bonus) program with annual remuneration reviews.
