We are looking for a talented Document Controller with a passion for projects to join our expanding Power Generation project delivery team. Pivotal to this role is supporting our Project Managers and other project team members with successful development, control and delivery of project documentation to the relevant stakeholders.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Lead and administer document control systems and processes for the projects team.
Ensure documents are prepared, reviewed, approved and controlled in accordance with process. Registering, handling and control of all incoming and outgoing project documentation and correspondence.
Maintain appropriate document control and storage processes to ensure project documents are retrieved, shared, revised and submitted as required.
Engage with customer projects teams and their document control teams to ensure alignment, management and ownership of document control.
Manage, collate, review for accuracy and deliver associated project manuals and other relevant project documentation to the end customers as per contracted project deliverables.
Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and documentation.
Archive files as necessary.
Develop and maintain close relationships with Project Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure understanding of project and customer needs to meet delivery commitments as per project schedule.
Leads and contributes to continuous improvement activities for document control process within the project management business.
Participate in site meetings or customer meetings as required by Project Managers and project team.
Awareness of HSE and Environmental needs in regards documentation management and control.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Previous experience working experience as a Document Controller in a technical, construction, engineering or manufacturing environment, or exposure as an engineering intern.
Proficient knowledge of MS Office and Aconex/TeamBinder or similar document management systems is advantageous.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to carry out rigorous processing of documentation and accurately identify any abnormalities within the relevant information being analysed within documentation.
Be highly organised, able to organise work and documentation in a manner that is easily accessible when needed.
Have strong communications skills with a strong customer focus, able to build strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
Be able to follow procedures and processes ensuring that you carry out your work as per company policies and procedures.
If you are applying as a graduate engineer, you will have completed an engineering internship or meaningful work experience involved in the delivery of projects and ideally possess a post graduate qualification in project management.
