Workshop Electrician – Rail Power Generation
Laverton - $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS!
We are looking for a talented Workshop Electrician to join our Rail Team in Laverton. This role will see you as part of a team of technicians specialising in repairing and maintaining high horsepower and mid-range Rail applications.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Load testing of overhauled/repaired generators
Working on generator sets and engine control panels
Troubleshooting and diagnostics on engines/generators
Modifying wiring looms/diagrams
Working closely with the Mechanical Service team
Completing all work with a high focus on safety
Assists Level III Technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans on engines in the workshop
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Be a trade qualified electrician
Hold a current Electrical License and/or Electrical contractor’s license
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience working with power generation products High Voltage/Low Voltage practical experience
Previous industrial experience in an industrial factory as a senior or sole electrician
An in depth understanding of control systems (including PLC and relay logic)
The ability to interpret electrical schematics
Strong PC skills
Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
A current, valid driver’s license
Compensation and Benefits
Monday to Friday – 6am to 2pm – Early Finish!
