We are looking for a talented Project Manager to join our Power Generation team based in our Perth office. This key appointment will manage our Power Generation projects for WA. Some travel to customer sites will be required.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead multiple power generation projects from inception to completion; facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project; work with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals; design project plan, develop timeline, identify project milestones, and track performance against performance goals and timeline.

  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirement and track project costs in order to meet budget

  • Manage project risk; use quality tools to identify areas of risk, work with others on the team and outside the team to identify alternatives or solutions.

  • Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other project team experiences to enhance the success of the project. Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders on status of specific projects and assignments.

  • Liaise with customer, building management on site related activities and proactively engage with internal stakeholders to ensure on-time equipment delivery, take ownership of installation, testing and commissioning schedule and its related activities

  • Manage contract with vendors and suppliers by assigning task and communicating expecting deliverables and to utilize industry best practices, technique and standards throughout entire project execution

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with demonstrated experience of extensive project management with first class communication and negotiating skills

  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, planning, control & managing resources and overseeing projects through the full life cycle

  • Have the ability to work under operational pressure in a fast-paced, tight schedule environment, and be able to work as part of a collaborative team

  • Experience in Power Generation, Generator Business / Environment is preferred
