Due to a significant growth in demand at our Perth Master Rebuild Centre (MRC), we are looking to hire a number of Technicians to join the team. As a Diesel Mechanical Technician in the High Horsepower Master Rebuild Centre (MRC), you will be an integral team member within our engine remanufacturing operation, which supports our Mining business and customers across the west coast of Australia. Reporting to your respective Phase Leader, you will have the opportunity to rebuild (teardown and assemble) a wide variety of our high horsepower product (19L – 60L), supported by well-developed processes and technology, contributing to an end-product of the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include…
Maintaining a consistent safety focused approach
Completing all work to a high quality within our standard processes and frameworks, accurately following the designated work flows
Supporting all manufacturing activities within your respective phase
Repairing and troubleshooting of engine sub-systems as required
Repairing and remanufacturing engine sub-components
Troubleshooting and testing using engine dyno (in testing area only)
Making sure all paperwork is accurate
Ensuring your tools and area are safely maintained and clean
Trade qualified diesel fitter and/or automotive trade background
Demonstrated experience of engine assembly
Previous experience of working on Heavy equipment is highly desirable
Flexibility to work on day and afternoon shifts
The ability to follow documented procedures
Enjoy working in a structured environment
Strong attention to detail
The ability to work unsupervised
Solid computer skills
