Cummins is introducing the Distributor Business System (DBS) program, a transformative initiative that will revolutionize the way we operate. With the DBS program, we are bidding farewell to our Legacy platform and embracing SAP as our new distributor business system. This powerful solution brings modern capabilities that will streamline and harmonize our core processes across our Operations and Business Systems.
This is a Hybrid role, which requires at least 40% per week working from local Cummins office, with up to 25% travelling required during the year, within APAC region and Europe region. The role can be based out of any Cummins location in Australia.
There will be a need for work and time zone flexibility given the global impact and cross functional stakeholders.
DBS Finance Inventory Transformation Leader
Reporting to the Finance Transformation Director, you will be responsible to support the implementation of the new SAP system across Cummins Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
You will make an impact in the following ways –
You will be working as part of a large multinational transformation team, based across multiple regions in the world.
Driving positive changes in inventory management & accounting that lead to improved working capital and overall organisational performance.
Establishing key Inventory Master Data attributes to drive financial accounting and reporting needs.
Standardizing the design of inventory costing, valuation, and accounting practices across diverse regions within our Distribution business involved in sale & service of engines & related components, manufacturing activities in our Rebuild and Upfit Centres.
Fostering collaboration with cross-functional global teams, across inventory management, procurement, supply chain, finance, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of the new system in alignment with global business objectives.
Seamless integration between the ERP system and the General Ledger.
Managing multiple finance systems & Finance Systems improvement projects for a major enterprise application (i.e. BOLT Finance, Hyperion, etc.).
To be successful in this role you will be:
Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated history of driving change and successfully executing Inventory track of Finance Transformation Projects, involving systems like SAP, and Oracle. Hands on design & implementation experience.
Extensive experience in financial leadership roles, especially in areas related to inventory management & supply chain.
Have an in depth understanding of inventory & provision accounting, valuation methodologies, manufacturing & remanufacturing costing techniques and principles.
Manufacturing experience is desirable and a background in Automotive industry will be advantageous.
Enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, offering constructive input as required, and engaging with diverse regions within a multinational context.
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or similar certification required.
Project Management, Lean or Six Sigma Experience will be beneficial.
