About the role:

We currently have an enviable opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our high performing Finance Team based at our Scoresby Head Office. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager and working closely with Financial Accountancy, Reporting and Businesses Partnering team, this role will be responsible for providing financial accounting support for the equipment sales function for Cummins South Pacific. Your role will also include;

  • Provide financial accounting support for automotive, industrial, power generation business units

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies & control procedures

  • Perform month-end close procedures

  • Drive continuous improvement for internal accounting & control systems

  • Assist with audits, document policies and procedures

  • Lead new continuous improvement projects and other finance initiatives

About you

You’ll ideally understand our business and integrate yourself quickly into our Cummins Finance team. As a senior member within our team you’ll be proactive and have proven experience leading projects. You may also have some of the following;

  • CA or CPA qualified

  • At least 4 years of experience within a financial accountant role

  • Experience within a CA firm (Big 4) is advantageous

  • Exposure to Distribution and/or industry experience is desirable

  • Proven experience on leading projects

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
