Description

An exciting opportunity exists to lead our Asia Pacific HSE team . In this HSE Director role, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly experienced HSE Professionals. The role spans across multiple countries in Asia Pacific region and includes wholly owned and independent businesses within the region.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Lead a team of highly capable and experienced HSE professionals who are passionate leaders in HSE

  • Continue to strive for excellence through world class HSE Management systems and processes

  • Develop and foster a positive HSE culture. Instill fundamental values with everyone on-site – focusing on achieving a zero-incident environment.

  • Interpret and apply internal and external standards in support of hazard and risk reduction and compliance

  • Identify and implement controls to reduce the environmental impacts associated with site operations and to control safety risks

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to achieve and sustain world-class HSE performance

  • Develop intricate hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs.

  • Anticipate, identify, and evaluates hazardous safety conditions and environmental risks

  • Lead incident investigation while meeting reporting obligations.

  • Lead the implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs, initiatives, and tools to achieve regional objectives and targets.

  • Drive standardization and best practice implementation across the region.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Significant relevant HSE experience combined with 7 years’ experience in a leadership role working across various countries within the Asia Pacific region preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading highly capable HSE teams, as well as experience working in cross territories and countries, whilst leading remotely, is highly desirable.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders

  • Able to adapt and pivot to the working environment

  • Additional language skills will also be looked upon favourably but are not essential for the role.
