About the role

We are seeking an experienced and professional Accountant to be part of the CBS Accounting Services team to be based in our Scoresby office. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a new position to the business allowing you the opportunity to truly make it your own.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform complex duties related to preparation and analysis of financial information to record transactions & prepare financial reports

  • Compile, consolidate, and conduct complex analysis of accounting and financial information

  • Conduct research and analysis on complex issues preparing strategic recommendations to management

  • Create appropriate journal entries to general ledger

  • Lead monthly & annual reconciliations and close activities for assigned accounts

  • Act as a mentor to less experienced members of the team

About you

  • Sound accounting knowledge with previous experience in balance sheet reconciliations

  • Degree in Finance or related field is required – CPA qualified would be preferred

  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholder groups across multiple countries

  • Ability to manage time effectively to handle large volume journal entries in accordance with set deadlines

  • Ability to effectively partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and drive successful outcomes

  • Enjoys working autonomously and is adaptable to ambiguity and change

  • Outcome focussed – you will be confident in overcoming obstacles to deliver designated outcomes

  • Inquisitive and curious nature
