Sick of writing technical manuals and engineering maintenance procedures? If you are looking for an opportunity to work on a major EPCM project, this role is offering the contract for you! We are expanding our power generation team to deliver this exciting power generation project on our customers mine site. With plenty of project work ahead in this expanding area, you will join our group on a 12 month contract with a view to permanency.

About the role

Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will see you doing something different every day. Working with a range or stakeholders, you will be charged with producing project technical documentation for dissemination of information, planning and compliance for our power station project, delivering interpretation of information to our internal engineering and OH&S team, our external suppliers and consultants, relevant government departments and our customer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with various stakeholders to capture relevant technical and safety information

  • Develop your internal information pipelines, identifying where within the wider project team you need to source specific information.

  • Design your information templates to most efficiently and accurately capture and convey our project information

  • Integrate relevant information into well written text, with a focus on translating technical information into a format easily understood by a non-technical audience.

  • Maintain the library of information as the project evolves

About you

  • Technical background with an engineering diploma or trades qualification.

  • Previous experience working in a similar role as a designated technical writer

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders

  • Excellent attention to detail with a structured approach to your work

  • Be PC savvy with strong word and excel skills
