About the Role

Our Toowoomba Branch is a compact but high performing mining, HHP and heavy automotive focused operation encompassing workshop, field service and administrative support.We are currently seeking a Service Supervisor on a full-time ongoing basis leading, engaging, developing and supporting our field service team. With a strong focus on hiring to develop, you will have training and development opportunities and gain Cummins products skills and knowledge that will set you up for success anywhere in the world.

As the Service Supervisor you will be the first and last point of contact for our valued, predominately mining, customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of Cummins for field service support for the region, focusing on the 6 mine locations we support locally as well as our other valued customers

  • Proactively engage customers around current and future service requirements

  • Prioritise resources, responding to predominately urgent breakdown requests

  • Develop work plans for scheduled maintenance

  • Ensure requirements on parts and other support for field service team are well-organised

  • Provide direction to a team of skilled Cummins technicians

  • Prepare of invoices and quotes and ensuring WIPS are up to date and invoices are processed for payment in a timely manner

  • Develop relations with our key customers, conducting regular visits out to our customers sites

  • Build a cohesive team of technicians

About You

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is ideal, or an extensive field service background at a senior level

  • Strong knowledge of technical diesel products and service requirements relevant to the mining industry

  • Experience dealing with high value fast paced customers, managing resources to meet urgent requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on customer delivery

  • Heavy diesel or light automotive qualification with extensive heavy diesel experience

  • The ability to prioritise conflicting tasks and meet strict deadlines

  • A strong focus on health and safety

  • Team orientated mindset

  • Demonstrated PC skills with the proven capability to deliver in an office-based environment
