Document Controller - Power Generation Projects

Description

We are looking for a talented Document Controller to join our team. Supporting the project managers in the successful delivery of projects this role will be a key part of the Power Generation project management team.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Create and adapt Cummins project document templates and develop new documents for project deliverables

  • Lead and administer document control systems and processes for the projects team

  • Ensure documents are prepared, reviewed, approved and controlled in accordance with process

  • Maintain appropriate document control and storage processes to ensure project documents are retrieved, shared, revised and submitted as required

  • Engage with customer projects teams and their document control teams to ensure alignment, management and ownership of document control

  • Manage, collate, review and deliver associated project manuals to end customers as per contracted project deliverables

  • Develop and maintain close relationships with Project Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure understanding of project and customer needs to meet delivery commitments as per schedule

  • Deliver strong document control support that includes registering, handling and control of all incoming and outgoing project correspondence and documentation

  • Leads and contributes to continuous improvement activities for document control process within the project management business

  • Participate in site meetings or customer meetings as required by Project Managers and project team

  • Awareness of HSE and Environmental needs in regards documentation management and control

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • A minimum of 2 years sound and demonstrated working experience as a Document Controller

  • Work experience in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines

  • Experience in Aconex/TeamBinder or similar document management systems is advantageous

  • Intermediate Skills in MS Office /Word and Excel

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to carry out rigorous processing of documentation – quality assurance

  • Willingness to learn and ability to pick up new things quickly

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – direct customer interaction

  • Team orientation
