Are you a highly regarded Service Manager, with exceptional customer service and operational efficiency experience? If so, we are looking for a Service Manager to join our team in Darwin.

About the role:

Our Darwin Branch is a mixed market operation serving the customer across the NT, directly focused through workshop & field service activities to Cummins product end-users. With your strong leadership skills, you will be a result’s driven individual that wants to grow the service area as if it is their own and claim the rewards that will be part of it, as such, you will ensure that the service team provides courteous service to clients, colleagues and the broader community and lead your team in portraying company decisions in a positive manner.

Some key responsibilities, but not limited to are;

  • Lead the initiative to make Cummins the first choice of customers.

  • Promote a positive, behavioural based safety culture and lead your team in shifting HSE to a value.

  • Foster and develop your team to be able to solve the most complex problem-solving requirements they will face.

  • Develop employees and provide opportunities and feedback that enhance employee career growth.

  • Review key performance indicators for service operations and addresses issues, opportunities, trends and initiate action plans.

  • Establish positive and professional working relationships with key customersand maintain client satisfaction levels.

  • Ensures the volume and quality of work produced meets company standards and ensures customer satisfaction

  • Identifies trends and initiates changes/improvements necessary to achieve goals and objectives while ensuring customer needs are met without interruption to service levels.

About you:

  • Proven experience as a service manager or supervisor of a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to market our services using business strategies and tools.

  • Operational experience leading, coaching and managing teams to meet KPI's.

  • Extensive mechanical knowledge of Automotive, Marine, Industrial and/or Power Generation equipment.

  • The proven ability to take ownership of outcomes within the service business and work within specific time constraints.

  • Supportive and would have a "can do" attitude.

  • Strong communicator with ability to establish positive relationships.

  • Have a technical background with a trade qualification and industry experience to engage with Cummins customers.

  • Ability to motivate and influence teams.

  • Excellent computer literacy skills.

  • Great verbal and written communicator to carry out technical documentation
